Sealed edging is a secondary process fabricated to food grade belting in order to comply with high standards of hygiene. The procedure involves protecting the edges of PVC and PU belting by insulating it with homogenous material thermally fused to the edges of the belt. This eliminates the potential for frayed belt edges to contaminate food product and creates a barrier for bacterial growth.
