Warwick Armstrong

Warwick is currently the General Manager of Plantic Technologies the biobased ultra-high barrier film invented in Australia. Plantic is a part of the Kuraray group the world’s largest producer of EVOH the barrier technology used in food packaging.

Warwick’s current role sees him travelling the world investigating current trends in food packing and the role it plays in extending shelf life. Meeting up with the world’s largest retailers and brand owners to better understand and solve their pain points around sustainable packaging and food wastage. He has been responsible for the submissions and multiple winning entries in the World Star Packaging awards.

Prior to this he has worked in the packaging industry for various European and American companies and was part of the team that bought the first MAP packaging technology to Australia over 25 years ago.

Warwick is passionate about finding the right balance between plastic and food waste and understands how both can work together for the benefit of the environment.
